Chalking the Door at The Clare Estate

Last Monday, Father Stephen Schuler, SVD visited to bless The Clare Estate. Father Stephen spent the morning walking through the estate blessing the rooms and halls. Before leaving he wrote the Latin phrase, "Christus mansionem benedictat" (May Christ bless the house), in chalk on the entrance wall of the estate. "Chalking the door is a way to celebrate and literally mark the occasion of the Epiphany and God's blessing of our lives and home. With time, the chalk will fade. As it does, we let the meaning of the symbols written ink into the depths of our heart and be manifest in our words and actions. Thank you Father Stephen for visiting The Clare Estate!
