The Clare Estate Rocks!

On March 19, 2017, The Clare Estate hosted a Bordentown Rocks Event with the assistance of Camp Fire NJ’s “Teens on Fire.” The “Teens on Fire” program is made up of a diverse group of students from Bordentown Regional High School who serve as mentors to the middle school students that they call “Sparks.” The program focuses on positive peer leadership, bullying prevention, community engagement, and peer-to-peer mentoring so that middle schoolers can have a successful transition into high school. The Clare Estate’s Bordentown Rocks Event was inspired by the kid-friendly and artistic scavenger hunt that has been ongoing in Bordentown City. People paint pictures on rocks and then hide the rocks around Bordentown for others to find. When a rock is found, a picture of it is uploaded to the Bordentown Rocks Facebook page for others to see before being re-hidden. Our residents had a great time joining in on the fun! It truly was the perfect way to bring in the warmer weather we’ve been having, and the rocks were all hidden around Bordentown.

Thank you to all those who attended the event and to Camp Fire NJ’s “Teens on Fire” for all of your help! We looks forward to hosting this event again in the future!
