In order to help educate both caregivers and the public about caring for loved ones living with dementia, The Clare Estate will be hosting a free Dementia Dimension Expo on October 21st, 2017. Our keynote speaker for this event is Jackie Pinkowitz, M.Ed., board chair for the Dementia Action Alliance, a coalition of passionate people, organizations, and communities creating a better society for individuals and their families living with dementia. Jackie is a member of the Rutgers University School of Social Work Advisory Council.
The expo will cover the many types of dementia, making legal decisions on behalf of a person with dementia, cognition, communication, and swallowing in persons with dementia, and opening minds through art! There will be breakout sessions so attendees can choose which lectures will be most beneficial to their needs. Heather Kennedy, Exercise Physiologist, will provide some stretches and exercises to keep us lively throughout the day.
Free lunch from our Mediterranean menu will be served, and there will be a raffle as well!
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to the front desk at
